Just bought this freelander. I know about all the problems what they have but i only bought it cos is a left hand drive. So forgeting for a minute how crap they are let me tell you about mine
It is a 2001, 1.8 ES black with all the toys in the world, has done 100 k very good body and leather interior.
I drove it from london to manchester with no problems at all, no overheating at all.
The engine looks brand new, and this is what confused me a bit. Is not that maybe is been cleaned, but everythin inside the engine bay it looks as if came of the shelf, and is very very quaite, i have to lift the bonet to hear the engine. The trader what i bought if for has no idea if hes had a new engine.
Is there a way of checking the service history on this car? Im more intresting in major work done to it. Phone the local LR aparantly they dont have a national data base.
Has anyone got a link for a owners manual pdf format?
