yes, a lot of them.

But only some were able to climb like the freelander. I belive the automatic gearbox makes all the diference.

I´m not a expert, but that gearbox helps me a lot.

I have some off road expirience, from enduro and downhill, that helps me choose where to put the wheels.

 Sorry Willo - I learnt my Nederlands from Radio Nederland Wereldomroep.

I misunderstood 'our' site.

I realise now it was addressed to 'silkwood' :)

Hi there. RESPECT.

I saw this one and wanted to tease and please some people over here. ;)I saw your topic on the Portugese site and wanted to congratulate you. The only thing is my account there is not valid yet so I mailed the administrator.

@Willo and Singvogel. Ik zal het vanavond posten als niemand mij voor is.

Cheers

Correct and nevertheless (here I copied the thumbs up sign but didn't work out, sorry) to you.

What tyres was it running, noticed some of the disco's etc were running aggresive mud/at tyres. Looked like road biased rubber on the freeby but would like to know for certain.

One of the main reasons why the freelander was able to do it with ease is because of its traction control system, which sorted itself out. The disco on the other hand, only needed to lose traction on one rear wheel, and one front wheel and it was buggered. I have also found this out the hard way on my disco. I've managed to get my disco nearly stuck in places where my freelander coped with ease. However, if you added deep ruts into the equation, the freelander would be screwed.

The Freelander was running on Insa Turbo Mountain 215/80/15.

The tc was not necessary. It didn't work in that situation.

Thanks for the reply, :)

Yes deep ruts would be an issue but you can try it from a different approach or just accept that some things are beyond its capabilities.

Ha ha love it I have done that a few times where lads in td5 discos with t/c have got stuck and I have got trough in the Freelander mine is a 1.8 with no t/c or hill decent I have only got a/t tyres on her and I have never been stuck

Hi Nitrous, I looked at some other things you did with your Freelander. GREAT.

btw: Now there are not so much of the disco/range and tratterboys over here. How come?:biggrin1:

There are a lot of disco and range, but i guess you saw videos of Freelander only event.

The video everybody is talking about, was a Landmania event, there was 50 cars (discovery, range rover, defender and series).

There were also 1 Freelander (mine) and 1 Evoque of a famous portuguese actress.

In a couple of days i will share a complete video of the last event and you will see a lot of discos and ranges.

I know, but normally they have lots of remarks in this Freelander section on landyzone to try to provoke us. Guess this was a good tease. :)

sorry, i guess i misunderstood what you mean.

In portuguese we use to say "contra factos não há argumentos" (there are no arguments against facts). So they don´t have any arguments.
