So a small update! Sourced a chassis. Went with a TD5 one but with 300 mounts!

And set up in the workshop ready for the build!

Also stripped the rest of the original 90 chassis of some of the fittings ill need:

Ill collect a big pile of bits and sent it off for blasting and Galv'ing/Powder coating!

Yeah I saw this picture recently! Didnt you have any warpage on the bulkhead?

I don't seem to have bud, got it fitted to the chassis a couple of weeks ago and fitted just as good as when it came off.
I think the real test will be when I come to align the doors/tub/bulkhead etc.. But I'm confident it will be ok.

So today i pulled everything out of storage to see what was what:

Then i split the NA from the LT77:

Then i put the bulkhead on the chassis for three reasons:
1: To make sure it fits
2. Storage
3. To be able to strip it bare on a sold base as opposed to swinging from the crane or balancing on the floor:

Then my recurring back issue hit me with a vengeance so I had to pack up and go home :(

Got a few more bits ready for the blasters:

And split the R380 from the donor 300tdi:

And collected a new compressor. Hoping it will help compared to my tiny hobby one i have at the mo:

So the other day i bought a 1998 Donor for spares, but turned out it was too good so MOTd it instead, and am now using it to collect other donors LOL:

This red one is fairly rotten so parts to use and sell only:

So over the bank holiday i made a start on it amongst other things:

So my media blasting pile is growing!

So another donor engine in stock, this time out of the red disco. I have plenty of spares for the 90 now, or even the other 2 Discos I have on the road!
This is the first time ive taken the engine out the front as opposed to taking the body off. I think ill stick the my previous way. This just seems hard work! Even with a 2-post!

Im getting so many spare bits ive had to start labelling them!
