Picked up today a 1971 Suffix A..

Needs a complete body off resto. & engine strip down..

Wife thinks it should be redone in OEM Masai Red, i'm thinking of Sahara Yellow

+ 1 The yellow looks really great with the black trims, but then so does many other colours, light blue!

it's been a couple of colours. masai red and sahara yellow. and had vinyl roof at one point..

i need a new bonnet for it, the exposed hinge type... and anyone have any tips on removing the bodyshell from the chassis. i have a fork lift available..

zen ?

zen..............

So you now have the gorgeous resto, the CSK and now the 71...... Have you thought aboutt going into business?

And the two p38's

The ironic thing is Ant, i made more last year from the porches than i did dragging my ass out of bed at 0630, doing a 75mile commute each way, dealing with company B/S, preparing presentations, budget forecasting etc etc.

And messing about with cars is more fun ! (mostly)

I'm involving the wife in the Suffix A resto, between bouts of her Masters dissertation.

Oh, you do porches, I'm in the market for an orangery if you can give me a quote.:)

Wolfrace ! apparantly the PO was fighting off someone who despartely wants them.

from a farm.. of course.. its been in a barn a few years.

Yup. WT5's. Very rare and used by most of the custom coach builders of the 70's and 80's.

Worth silly money to those restoring something like a Glenfrome or Carmichael etc.

That's good to know. when were they produced ? I have a set of Rostyles for it for orginality.

Not sure in dates. They appeared in the mid 70's and I suspect they halted in the late 80s.

They have a different offset to RoStyles so stick out more which can look good.

I've not decided if I like them on mine yet. Once I've returned the exterior to a 70s spec over its current 90s one then I'll make a final call as to whether to keep them or fit the refurbed steels that I have.

nice! do you post rangerovers.net as well ? i've seen your classic pic somewhere else.. i could definately use your input and advice.. i'll be separating the body and shell soon and there's a few bits i need as well.
