A very interesting problem that I hadn't come across before but it makes perfect sense. Have you found this to be true?

Just some washers would do the same job,can not see any reason to weld them either. I prefer to use original type bush on series.

Interesting and it does make sense. I've never been pursuaded that polybushes are functionally the same as metalastic. Metalastic provide a firm location in all axies and torsion and I just can't see how parrallel polybushes with a free crush tube can do that. When I've seen applications designed for poly bushes they are double taper housings with cone shaped polybushes. To my mind polybushes are a solution looking for a problem that doesn't exit, the only thing they seem to solve is pressing in, but there's a reason the metalastics are pressed in and I'd like a proof that its not required before I changed to something else.

Personally I like polybushes but I confess I hadn't thought of this possible problem, glad I saw the video and will bear it in mind if I ever have to replace my front bushes.
Sorry about this thread being posted three times, internet very slow that evening and didn't post it at all, making me try again and then again. The next day (!) I see three identical posts. Perhaps a mod can remove the spare ones?
