Hi folks,

I win top numpty prize... I totally forgot the chassis loom was still inside the chassis when I started cutting up my old 300tdi 110 chassis!!! numpty....

anyway, I want to buy a brand spanking new one, so that I can be the first to butcher it. I have tried autosparks, but I gather they tend to deal with older stuff. They told me they can make one to order, but it'll be 12 weeks lead time!!!! That's not going to work sadly.

anyone got any known good sources for this sort of thing?

spec: 300tdi 110, HRW + wash/wipe.

Thanks

Adam

A couple of the usual suppliers have them in stock, but you're looking at £500! I'd repair it or make one myself.

bugger - just checked. it's the same product from autosparks for 200tdi and 300tdi... which makes sense. LR442 on their numbering system. so not in stock.

not sure on difference once you have had it with hrw and wiper etc ,can only be the plugs which you can alter any way ,,,thats all I'm going to do ;)

ahhh LR440 seems to be a different loom for older chassis numbers of 200tdi. yes the plugs... that'll be it. I suppose as long as they can be sourced, it's ok.

Yep the plugs are the only thing I can think of.
300tdi uses econoseal 2/3 way for the lights etc, whereas the 200tdi and prior use the bullet type doobries.

I bought mine from here as I needed them for the td5 rear fuel tank I'm fitting. (But I'm also going to fit the later style lights, so in effect converting the loom like you will have to)
Not sure if they're the cheapest, but someone recommended them to me also.
Do you have the tool to crimp them? I ended up buying one, but that was another £40 or so.

yeah, I've got a crimper. one of the ones that one of mags reviewed a few months back. loom is ordered. LR440 is anyone want to know (autosparks numbering). I'll see what arrives (a week or two apparently), and compare it with the original one.
