Good morning Ladies and Gents,

Moved to England about a year and a half ago from Miami . I'm a big jeep CJ7 fan and owned one for quite sometime before moving here. I started to miss the freedom on the road after purchasing a MG ZR when I got here and needed to get that freedom back (American enough for you?)

Henceforth, I am on a mission to find my Defender 90, searching the mother land. I have gone to see three which have left me sad and disappointed. Nothing but mistreated rustbuckets.

My hope is to find a 1991 or older, diesel perfered, low rust, soild chassis Defender 90.

Cheers and can't wait to officially join the community of Defender/Land Rovers.

She's runs well but i need a 2.25L petrol back in her. This landy was just recently fitted with a 300tdi which will make it ineligible to be exported when the time comes. Anyone wanna switch???

If you are going to try to get it back home be damn careful. And everything better be like it says on the VIN number. Should of bought a left hand drive.

Insurance could be a issue in the US and some states require a special endorsement on driver license for right hand drive.

Ship the 300 home ahead of time then put it back in

I understand the LHD would have been the better buy but trying to find one out here was close to impossible unless i was going to spend 10000 pounds for it. As for the VIN specs, exactly why I am looking for someone to switch with me. As for now, she's will be just fine for the next 3 years i'm here. Even if I can't send it back, I'll sell it out here and make some change. It will be a fun experience either way.

Has your inbox melted yet? :)

Welcome to LZ.

Thanks!

It's developing cobb webs. No one has that engine. I have the 300TD and would love to keep it because it's got so much push, but it is what it is and I have to get that 2.25 **** in my Landy...
