Hi everyone, can somebody help me out with the location of the ambient temp sensor on a 2000 p38? Mine is giving a permenent read out of -40 so I'm getting constant hot air blowing in the cab.

Thanks in advance
Dan

I don't think the outside air temp sensor and the heating are linked, so it sounds like you have a sensor problem and the blend motors may be stalled. Do you have any other symptoms like air only coming out of the driver/passengers footwells etc? Also have you noticed wet carpet in the drivers footwell?

exterior sensor either in front of radiator or under windscreen valance -depends on chassis number

On 2000 model year its behind front bumber in front of rad, its been coverd on here before try doing a search.

Thanks for the help everyone, I've got no other symptoms apart from the -40 display and hot air. I'll check the sensor out on Monday and go from there.

Many thanks.
Dan
