Amberley Museum - Classic Land Rover Day 15th Oct. I'm going to try to get to this one, only about 15 miles away so no excuse really.

Anyone been to previous ones? Any good?

No idea, but I am
Not far away either so may try get along. Amberley is good anyway!

This was on today. Mrs, little one and I went for a walk around and really enjoyed it. Mines not ready yet but I've given myself a dead line of next year's show to get it finished as I will definitely be going back next year.

As per the name, it's a classic LR event so nearly all series, a few Forward Control's and the odd Classic Rangie. Apparently there were 100 ish vehicles, plus the museum so 11 quid a ticket wasn't too bad, plus the cafe and tea rooms.

Unfortunately I left my phone in the car as I would have liked to have taken some pictures. Lots of lovely series ones, nice military jobs and a really nice marine blue S3 swb which inspired me to get mine back together.

@flat did you go in the end? By the sound of it you must live near me!

We went in the morning and had a really good time. The lads particularly liked the Shorland, we were shown around it by the extremely genial owner. I must admit I'd always thought the Shorland looked a bit odd in pictures but it was much better in the flesh. We took the Beach Bus in buts she's almost completely de-mil'ed so it was nice to see some restored to military configuration. The military 101's looked awesome as always.
It was nice to meet other Land Rover owners/sufferers. It's the first LR meet I've been too. I'll post some pictures when I can set up an alternative to Photobucket.

Perhaps next year have a bit of a meet up? Always good to meet new people.
