I know there's lots on here about Dynachip, but I NEED to write this!

I put off getting a re-map at the beginning of last year as had to rebuild my front axle, and replace the chassis, finally had it done today.....and my God its good, better than good, its like a totally different vehicle!!

If anyone is toying with the idea, just give Mike from dynachip a ring, great guy, very friendly and knows his stuff. As I tow either a digger or a chipper I needed rucks of torque low done the rev range, and improvement in the mid too.

Totally and utterly over the moon with it, will pull 4th with unladen trailer where I used to have to drop to third to just get itself up, amazing!! Best dollar I've ever spent, hope this confirms for someone that its the right thing to do!! :)

Its like I'm 17 again, its such a pleasure to drive I keep thinking up excuses just to get in it and drive for the sake of driving's sake!! Fantastic improvement!

I had mine done by Alive and it was great but threw out great clouds of white smoke on acceleration.
It looked like steam but l can only assume it was unburnt diesel. I got it restored to standard but miss the extra performance.
I was going to try Superchips as they give a 7 day trial period and if you are not happy they will put it back to standard and refund your money.
The Alive episide cost me £500...£360 for the remap then £125 at Land Rover to get it reset.

Try dynachips then, fantastic re maps and even better price.

£250 for mine. I got a 'strong' stage one, and I was insistent that I didn't want anything that would effect longevity.
I drive it the same as before, going up the gears as soon as I can, you slot I into 5th at 25mph now, no problem at all, it just makes for a more relaxed drive, and with a trailer it is phenomenally better!
Trouble is, I now want a 1.2 trans so I can use the increased torque for quieter cruising!!
Please give mike a ring, very knowledgeable, and in.my opinion cheap!

So why didn't you go back to Alive and ask for an explanation,or a reset to standard ?

I did, the guy said it was "normal to get a puff of white smoke" and it "also happens in BMW's"
But the smoke was sufficient to obscure the car l had just overtaken in my mirror!
The guy did say he'd do it again for £50 so l guess l should really give it another chance.
As the reviews of Alive Tuning are all really good, it must be just me.

That is cobblers mate,my TD5 was fantastic after dynachips re mapped it,went like stink,NO smoke at all,Mike even offers to return it back if not satisfied, but not heard of anyone doing that,as he knows his stuff,as for your bloke saying he will do it again for £50,that is just taking the p1ss and shows he does not know what he is doing, ask for your money back as it is not fit for purpose.
