Hello all,
I have nothing but praise to say about this forum. I found it saturday while searching for problems I was experiencing with my 02 Freelander TD4 ES. I joined straight away and posted my problem, within no time at all a reply and help from several people. Today the truck is sorted back on the road and all for the price of the part. superb.
Thanks again to the people that helped me and for the owners of the site, without you, I think I would have had a very nasty garage bill to contend with.
Cheers,
Mick

i wasnt argueing with him - just giving him invaluable advice. The welcome was fine (to him) - if yu dont understand "flamed" - just call your motor a "truck" and see the reaction.
I would rather not "try" you - Mr P would be your best bet on that score

he lives about 4 minutes down the road from me, hopefully he will see this is what its like here and fit in, be nice to have some decent like minded nutters locally!

Wait until he see's some of BOB's post's then!!

whoops! First lesson well and truly learnt. apologies all round........

see, i would happily call my defender a truck - and sometimes do. but in my mind thats no problem, out in the us and CA they are known as "light trucks" - a gaylander is known as a "car" or "SUV" so thats even worse

but dont worry about it, i even get flamed for calling my 110 a truck, so you were bound to get it for calling the gaylander a truck;)

oh, and welcome by the way, nice to see someone that doesnt mind taking a bit of flak and giving a bit back - thats what its about. good natured, good humoured, **** taking (usually :D)

its a sort of unwritten convention on LZ - Landies are not called "trucks" or "Jeeps" (truck cabs excepted) - its like doors falling orf Gaylanders and red trattas not going up hills........

yu will soon find out :D

Ahhh but you enjoy breaking yours and devise different ways to break it everday. Your some sort of sadomasocist so by calling it a truck you are abusing it.;)
