Personally I wouldn't know.

What gives.. mentioning a Disco 1 in a RR forum !!!

Sheesh. you just can't get the staff these days.

New LED bulb kit just arrived. Be fitting it later when I feel more up to it....bit meh today :(

Anyway, the box is small, but really quite heavy! Nice quality feel to the bulbs and the driver pack so lets hope they do well.

Soon as they are done & set up I'll take some pictures for yaw'l ;)

Off for 40 winks

Not entirely, I'd already bought the LED's, but may get night breakers for the "extra" high beam.

I rather think the whole lot needs re aimed because although the high beams are superbly bright, they are a very narrow beam and biased to the left.

I would like to set them to a slightly wider pattern so I light up both sides of the road (easier to spot deer).

Still feel a tad yuck today  It feels as if I have been in a boxing ring and had every part of my body beaten. Muscles are in agony :(

LED car headlights, are they just a bigger beefier version of the kind of LED you get in a torch or are they different somehow? I don't get how they work

They seem to be made really very well in this case, all brushed aluminium and heavy little heat sinks. The "bulbs" themselves are made up of 4 tiny LED's in a row on each side for the dip and again for the high beams. There is a little box on the end of a wire for each one, presumably containing components to ramp up the voltage and ampage.

There are other ones available with tiny fans in the end to cool the components, but I didn't fancy them as I thought the fans could burn out...

We are watching your progress with interest. Your insurance does cover fire?! :)

Well chaps, fitted the LED's and it was SUCH a simple operation, I didn't need to video it to show you how!

Old bulbs out, LED's in, connected, working.

WHAT a difference

Brighter, cleaner, more focused light with hardy any "spill" and no dazzle.

I took a picture with a standard bulb and the LED.

WOW! Night and day, literally!

Well, I WAS planning to upload a picture of the difference, but photobucket has other idea's... It asked me to log in, so I logged in, then it asked me to log in, so I logged in, then it asked me to log in, so I logged in, then it asked me to log in, so I logged in, then it asked me to log in, so I logged in, then it asked me to log in, so I logged in, then it asked me to log in, so I logged in, then it asked me to log in, so I logged in, then it asked me to log in, so I logged in, then it asked me to log in, so I logged in, then it asked me to log in, so I logged in,

Did I take that too far?

SO DID PHOTOBUCKET

Should be able to just attach to the board here? No warnings from the dash?

I think I'll skip all this and just fit a lightbar on the roof lol!

I had a 42 inch one on my Sprinter roof. MAN was it bright!

No one ever flashed me back if I flashed them to dip :p

Was thinking on a 20 inch one for George, but perhaps I wont need one....
