Anyone know what the standard alternator is on a 1991 Defender 110, how many amps and what (reasonable priced) replacement I should go for! Would consider higher amperage output if it just bolts on and wiring the same

They had an A115 45A, A133 65A or A127 45A or 65A which was dependant on A/C or not. You can get bosch versions which are probably better, but I had many years service from Lucas units. If you have a 45A alt then get the 65A if you want a boost, if not you can look into some of the other manufacturers who make alts for this in a higher amperage.

Found a new 45 amp for £59. Should I bother looking for a 60 amp. Want to run normal stuff plus a few spots
