hi chaps,

I hope some one can help me
you see what it is is my alternater is making a noise when the engine not running and flattening the battery after about 2 to 3 days so whats every one thoughts on it?

Sounds like its shorting itself out disconnect it and get a new one

As above or fit a new diode pack and regulator.

Loads of alternator repair stuff on eBay. Depends which unit you have.

Time and effort hoping to get the parts if its that old your bearings will be wearing , plonk another on it they are cheap enough arnol.
