Some info I wanted to share with you. If you've fancied having a go at driving your Land Rover off road, or are board of P&P sites. Then the new Q Class from the ALRC might be just the ticket.
The ALRC have been running off road trials events for decades, but have always been rather strict with what modifications have been allowed. But no longer....
The new Q Class will allow almost any Land Rover to come and compete.
If you've not competed before, then there are events and classes to suit all ages, vehicles and abilities.
It's true grassroots motorsport, events costing in the region of £20 a time. Which makes it comparable price to P&P sites.
And here's another angle on it. Trials events need to be setup, many clubs will do this the day prior to the event. So for the cost of annual membership you can potentially get a days off roading without competing. Again another good option to P&P sites.
So if you have dislocation cones, cranked trailing arms or even a tray back Discovery, why not give trialling a go. It's a lot of fun and challenging and you'll likely learn a lot about driving off road.

L.1.1 Trials
Class Q. A vehicle manufactured from Land Rover parts in accordance with MSA Regulations. Vehicles must retain Land Rover axles, engines and drivetrain. Vehicles must retain the appearance of a Land Rover.
L.1.3 Competitive Safari
Class Q. A vehicle manufactured from Land Rover parts in accordance with MSA Regulations. Vehicles must retain Land Rover axles, engines and drivetrain. Vehicles must retain the appearance of a Land Rover.
