The shoulder starps in mine are wrapped around a tube in the main hoop. there is a min size for a harness bar which I can't remember, it is in the blue book.
3.9 with LT95 is a reliable set up, just you is in with the big boys. Just don't be disheartened when you start, it takes a while to get any where near and in the early days you think you can never do it but stick at it and relax, you will develop a driving style that works.
 
I finally have a vid. It is Eckington night comp, a steady first run, I did get faster but on the 4th run I broke the steering and didn't have the part to fix it. I am happy with the shocks now after 3 re-valves. there is an issue with the clutch which you will see, I think I need a bigger master cyl. Overall it is getting sorted and I am having lots of fun which is the main thing.

 
I have changed the front on the motor, different colour and a mesh grill. I have revalved the shocks again and it is much better and I would say almost there on that score.
My driving is getting better and I am getting to know how it handles, the more I drive it the more I like it.

 
That grill's a big improvement - bought or 'something you made earlier'?

Yes it looks much better with the grill. I was trying to buy a couple of series grills too make one grill but they were fetching silly money so I made my own with a piece of woven stainless steel which is better in some ways as it is finer mesh.

I have just done the ALRC national Comp. The car is going better, I am happy with the front shock settings but just need a bit more compression damping on the rears.
Also I am a bit short on steering lock and need to sort that out.
All in all we had a great time, we were there for a week and the weather was dry and sunny most of the time.
BBQ, beer tent, good friends and off-roading what more could you want.
 
Epic :D I love these updates! That's a great achievement, to be racing a machine like that, that you have built yourself, awesome :D She sounds very responsive to the throttle! Great engine note anorl. Hats off to you and cheers, I've really enjoyed watching the build and seeing it in action. :)

I missed this year’s national. Was moving house and the trailer is loaded full of junk so wasn’t able to make it unfortunately!

Looked like a cracking course and the amount of roll overs in CCV was epic I hear

Yes Jai I saw you was moving house, We went up the previous weekend to do the camp site and stayed there all week weather was awsome. Some P&D lads built a motor for the Comp on site. And yes 21 rolls in the CCV a new record.

how did you make the p38 diff fit in the d2 casing as im on with the same thing but its becoming a strugle

Hi, I removed the diff pan and then machined the diff flange 15mm bigger dia, I then clearenced the other side of the casing for the crown wheel. then drill and tap the casing for the bolts that hold the diff in, finally weld the diff pan back on.

thanks will get on with it when i get back home im trying to be ready for eckington but il see what happens thats how far i got in 2 days now get the engine in and runing but now wationg for tube but i was just planning out cage and bits on paint seeing what its going to look like
