I got my intercooler from JE Engineering. Nice piece of kit, well made and works well. Bit of a bugger to fit though. But then I guess they all are.

having read the previous comments i can vouch for the allisport coolers i had one fitted by andy just before he was vat reg. on a 200Tdi. most impressed much more torque throughout the rev range and if anything more mpg's (only 1 or 2). As for build it did over 68000 and was sold with the disco having done over 170000. The best recomend i can give is that i'm currently looking for a non rotten 300 disco hardtop and one of the first trips will be for an allisport intercooler.

Hi all, I would like to ask people to TELL US if there is a problem with one of our products!
We will be happy to look into the issue and certainly replace the product, but we need to know in case there is an issue with material quality or similar failings.
I am at the end of the phone/email and we are constantly manufacturing these products so if something is amiss we have to know in case the process needs to change.
I am not a salesman and I have to rely on my products to sell themselves and to do this we have to make consistenly good kits.

I must say that I have seen many Land Rovers in the workshop with Allisport intercoolers and not once have I heard a bad word about them. They work very well and still look like new after a long period of time, unlike others. I would have no problems or fears recommending Allisport to any of our customers and will continue to use their services and products.

Dear All - I am planning to fit an Allisport Intercooler that I bought 2nd hand on eBay from a chap that had it installed on his 110 2.5TD, fitted in front of the Rad - the unit is in very good condition and was sold as the vehicle was dismantled

I am planning to do the same (fitting the cooler, not dismantling the vehicle), although there are a few of questions I have for the forum, maybe you guys can help (Allisport_Andy - in fact probably you may have the best view ;)

1. My 110 is converted to an Isuzu 2.8 Heavy Duty engine, retaining the standard V8 Rad unit.

2. I have fitted a set of twin Range Rover Fans in front of the rad. This had required cutting the top ends of the rad supports and welding those a few inches back

3. My understanding is that the Intercooler will fit right in front of the rad, so: a) is there any minimum gap that needs to be observed when fitting, b) will the large Intercooler not obstruct the external air flow, c) even with no front fans, a large intercooler would interfer with the bonnet strike panel cross bars - are those to be removed? c) are there any brackets that can be made to move the rad further back (there are at least 10 inches available between rad and viscous fan) so I can still fit a rad + intercooler + twin fans without having to remove the bonnet catch bars?
I am very keen to retain the RR fans as I do many thousand miles every year doing surf trips, mountain off road across Europe etc, and I do need ot cool the engine!

In fact - is this type of work something that can be briefed, planned and done at your premises? Happy to arrange a visit or discuss if this can be arranged

G

Yes - about 45 mins ago - For the first time o eBay I took a bot of a risk but in fairness that was installed on a very similar engine bay to mine, so hoefully either my local Specialist in surrey will be able to do it (he's absolutely great) or possibly Allisport even!

purrit in ya sen,its a piece a **** t do.

Got an Allisport in my TD5. Had it for about two years with no probs. Had to file a small amount ( no more than 1/8" ) off the right hand side mounting bracket as it was binding against the radiator mount but other than that its the business. Filed the clearance off the intercooler because its ali rather than the radiator mount which is steel so there were no corrosion issues. It still looks as good as new and is more than twice the size and thickness of the original intercooler.
