OK This is where I am at the moment in first pic. I do not have the sides yet but was hoping to try and get at least the rear tub lined up with the bulkhead and doors lined up too. I have a good idea of how to move bulkhead to close gap in doors but after reading loads of posts about it.
Thing I cant get my head round is how to move the rear tub, at the moment mine does not seem to be level with bulkhead, All holes line up perfect on rear crossmember, and it seems to sit on the chassis OK except to get it level with BH it has to go down at the front, but I can not see how it can do this.
Or could it be that its not sitting on level floor ?

It don't look that far out.
Tilt top of bulkhead forward a tad and slight tweak to door afterwards.
It's not a Jag with Jag panel gaps.

Think it may need a few washers added to bottom of BH to close gap a little. Just looks to me that tub sits higher then BH looking from side but think is coz floor is not level.

Have you got the sills mounted yet? When I rebuilt mine, I mounted the tub, then the sill rails, and bolted them all together to close the gaps. Then space the bulkhead with washers.

Run a piece of string down the line of the curve in all the panels, from the bulkhead right to the back of the tub. That way you can tweak them to your heart's content to ensure that it all lines up.

Seen here on my old 88", but same principle for any Defender:

In your last pic I can see a black line between the tub and chassis, what is this ?
The position of the tub is more or less fixed by the chassis fittings. When doing a full rebuild I would start with the tub.

Read about the string, Thanks for pic, so just keep everything plumbed along string line ?

Its the Fuel Lines but tub is not touching them anywhere along the chassis lenth.
