Hello everyone. I am a new member and this is my first thread. I've had the disco for 2 years with relatively few problems but the alarm is now playing up :- 1. When locking with the fob (2 button) the indicators do not always flash. 2. On occasions the alarm appears to set with the indicators flashing and the red dash light going through the usual sequence but the alarm will then go off without warning. I have changed the fob battery but with no change. The passenger door lock does not lift enough to unlock the door. I suspect this and the door/bonnet switches but any thoughts would be appreciated.

:welcome2: The inside door pin not lifting or lifting and droping half way back is a symptom of a broken spring in the lock and re the alarm the only switch to have any problems is the one under the bonnet, if the interior lights work ok then the door switches are ok.

Try locking with the key that will disable the ultrasonic sensor, which may have a problem.

Thanks and hello. I have tried locking with the key but the alarm still goes of after awhile. Is there anything else to consider apart from the bonnet switch?
