hi got a 97 discovery the alarm light has started flashing
when you put the headlights or brake lights on any ideas

I don't think he did as there's no other posts between the 4th December and now..

But when things happen involving other electrical circuits when they shouldn't it's usually down to a poor earth connecton on one or more circuits.

Try checking earth point under carpet under pedals at drivers feet, can cause many funny problems.

Earth connections, they will be behind both footwell kick panels...not under the carpet.

fairly sure there is one towards clutch pedal side as I recall, not on flat floor but just as it turns up.
