Can anyone help?
My freelander 1 2006 TD4 alarm goes off after i leave vehicle with the dog in ?
How do you override it?

If it's anything like my disco just lock the car with the key, not the fob. The central locking locks the car, the immobiliser works but the sensor thing in the car is inactive!

Just lock it with the key, then it doesn't arm the motion sensor in the car.

Yes, it could well be the volumetric sensor. I disconnected the sensor. and that worked for me. Take a look at this manual: Land Rover Workshop Manuals - Freelander - Service Procedures Sensor - volumetric - alarm system - 3 door

Have to mention that my FL is 3 door 1998. so can be different in yours

It explains it all in the handbook.

If you haven't got one you can get an online one by registering for free at:
TOPIx - TOPIx

Enter your VIN number and then look inj the owner's section.

As said you just lock it with the key - no need to disconnect or over-ride anything - it's designed to work that way.

your volumetric sensora are in the door pilar between the front back doors on a 5 door , if you leave the dog in a lot then just put a bit of tape over the sensors , but the insurance would not like it especially if it is broken into over night , it could make the insurance null and void

My volume sensor are behind the sunroof in the middle of the roof, mounted on the internal roll cage bar on my 2001 5 door. It's a little plastic box.
