Hi
New on here had my p38 for about 1yr now and want to start sorting issues out.

Battery was replaced and since then the windows won't work, alarm doesn't work.
The srs and air bag fault was on it previously.

I did try to get a power reading at the switch pack didn't get a reading although the bulb is working.
All fuses seem ok

Any help appreciated
 
Yes drives perfectly well
Fob buttons don't work for locking,lock with key that has been the same since I had it
 
If your engine didn't work that would probably be the subject of your thread; bit more annoying than non working windows.
Fob locking: batteries in fob, rf receiver.
I think the air bag srs has to be reset with diagnostics; someone will know for sure.
If windows & mirrors don't work after fitting new battery and fuses ok, I'd check the relays first and check that power is getting to where it should be.
 
In another thread datatek has suggested the SRS ECU could have blown or wiring shorted to someone with the same problem.
 
SRS fault will most likely be due to low battery volts or a bad disconnect. Windows is often a duff switch pack. SRS will need diagnostics to reset.

Reason for questions is that fact that remote doesn't work is likely to imply that Immoboliser has been programmed off in becm. This implies that the BECM has been swapped at some point and the fob codes lost. This implies that there has been a previous becm fault.

Let me ask the next question differently... I assume that road lights and interior light la function correctly?

That's a whole lot of implausible assumptions based on very little evidence.
 
Hi everything is working as has gone through Mot. The fob has usual damage on front changed batteries whilst doing this noticed that the spring to the battery doesn't look healthy. Alarm used to work with locking before so I'm assuming becm that's its not been changed unless I'm wrong
