I have purchased a 300 tdi disco in october last year. It has had fuel solenoid bypassed as the alarm went pear shaped. last owner pulled the connector out rear of alarm .And i dont have any fobs!! every time i unlock the landy and open the door the indicators flash for 30 secs. this happens 3 times then it stops. landy starts and drives fine even with the hazards flashing but i want to rectify this problem. 1 because its annoying 2 because it looks like i have nicked it and 3 if you stop to pick someone up and they open the door they flash again so i have to wait before pulling away so other drivers dont think i am an arse! I have been looking at the wiring to the green box under glove box pass side where the relay is clicking but not sure what to do. please please please can someone help. Thanks Rob

Firstly you need to purchased a programmed fob from the likes of Remote key thats the only way of unlocking the vehicle without activating the alarm system and stopping the hazzards which is whats happening at the moment, the rule is lock with key or fob but only unlock with the fob.

You don't have the alarm sounder connected as that would be sounding along with the flashing hazzards also the spider immobiliser must have be bypased, if it was still connected you wouldn't be able to remobilise the engine without the fob being next to the ignition switch.

So go to Remotekey's site and provide them with the info they require and/or send them the ecu and get a fob and have remote central locking and a working alarm after the sounder is connected. :)

ok i got hold of the previous owner who still had a broken remote.bit of soldering and i managed to fix it as such.it worked for about 5 mins then have to re sync again. been out today and purchased a new remote (2 button) same as the old one.can this be programmed by me or do i have to go to the dealers to be robbed!! if i can do it do you no how?

Re-sync is just pressing the lock button 4 times, but your replacement fob will have to be programmed by testbook or similar kit.

Look for an iffy battery connection to the board they sometimes require a small dab of solder.
