I am thinking of doing this set up for my car.
EAS Override

Is there someone out there who has done it? Any ideas os advice would appricated please. Also, what kind of valves did you you use? I have seen two kind on the e-bay, one set for £22+postage and another for £30+postage...

I got some valves mounted on a bracket c/w pipe and 'T' pieces off ebay last year sometime. I don't use them for an override system though. They're purely there in case the system goes into hard fault and I have a way of pumpuing the air springs up manually as a 'get you home' method. You can't really practically use them as permanent override. With the best will in the world, the system uses air as it levels the suspension etc. You'd be forever opening the bonnet to pump up and try and level the car up. I think you'd get fed up of it pretty damn quick.
Th valves were schraeder (tyre) valves. It came as a complete kit for about forty-odd quid. I know it can be done a lot cheaper buying the bits separately but I just wanted to get the kit at the time. It paid for itself when I had a hard fault 250 miles from home.

IIRC, this is meant to be used after disabling the EAS (removing the relay), so the system won't be active, thus not trying to auto-level.

Derek, what did you use to inflate the bags when your system went into hard fault? I'm considering installing something similar but want the ability to use the air from the tank (or worst case, direct from the compressor).

I just used a normal air pump from the cigar lighter. Took about 15 minutes to blow all four up to a reasonable height. It won't self level if there's a fault anyway. I meant if he was trying to use it instead of the compressor but I agree, with the relay removed it won't self level but it will go down at each corner at different rates over time.
When I used mine, I blew them up with the engine running (so the battery didn't go flat), got on the ferry to go across from Dunoon to Gourock and, not thinking, stopped the engine. Back on the bump stops. Doh! Spent the next 15 minutes of the crossing blowing them back up again:doh::doh: I know, I should have pulled the relay. It got me home anyway with no further dramas
