After last weeks return home form the south on the bump stops I have decided to get to the bottom of the problem. The car seemed okay after clearing the fault codes. But it is 16 yeras old so she ready for some new ones.
This afternoon started to fit my newly purchased Arnott bags.
I have done my homework (Range Rovers) it was very helpful.....
So I started at the front, been the harder side. It was hard to get my big hands down to the airpipes.....Job done, let`s fire her up. And the beast sat up for me! Nice one.
Do the same at the back. Wheels back on. Start the car and there was a loud noise form the rear airbags. No lift off this time!
There is no visible problem around the bags.
Looked at the dash and I have got the 35mph message again...Oh ****.:(
Had a go again with the EAS free sofware, but no joy again. I was just about had enough and started to put the tools away. Started her up and there was no message this time. Life would be so boring without these things...But no proper ride height still.
Have an another go tomorrow...
Good night all.....:)

Just a thought, but it might be that you didn't give it a chance to get up to pressure.

Did you let it idle for about 10 mins with a door or tailgate open to allow the air tank to fill?

I vaguely remember having this problem when I did mine.

Guy.

Suspension won't go up at all if theres a door open as far as I can tell with mine, thought I'd fooked it a couple of days ago hehe.

Today I have had time and changed the aircompressor as well. But before this I have started the car and I have had the EAS fault on the display. I just started to come to terms with taking an another £30 to have the fault cleared to the garage....
But I have changed the compressor and Hey! All okay. For now anyway....
She sit up for me and all well again.
Also, the Arnott airbags are much better than the worn out (15 years) original bags. As it states on the Arnott website, they provide much firmer on road and softer off road handling....Very pleased. Untill next time.
:)

I have the Gen II, but it seems a major improvement on the handling. Also contributing factor, that the removed bags are original and 15 years old...
But I am very happy with the new airbags. The car sails over speed bumps now, very good. Before on the same place it was very bouncy.
I could not afford the GenIII.....
Does anyone have them on their car already?

I have had Arnott Gen 2's on mine for 18 months very happy with them. Gen 3's are pointless unless you are serious off roading and need the extra articulation they give:D

That`s good news, because I could not have bought them anyway....
These are seem to be more than good enough for me....
Good night all...
