Not really. Only later Freelanders had it, and the ECM can substitute a fix value when it doesn't get a valid reading from that sensor. The adjustments the ECM makes based on that sensor are so minor, that most drivers wouldn't even notice when it's not working. The ECM doesn't care either, or it would put the MIL on, but it doesn't.

Hi,

Temp sensor, wires use to break. I had to buy a new connector ( injector connector for some engines ) and solder it to the rest of the wires.

Thanks Alteredtech, was thinking about sourcing a second hand part and cutting and resoldering to mine, but will have to wait until I have the time.
