Hi iv got a Range rover l322 05 3.0 d
I bought this as I'm now not allowed to use my company van for my private work so it's purely just a throw tools in, when I first bought it a few months ago the air suspension was all sitting level but there's no power to the switches for adjustment and I've the air suspension inactive warning on the dash it didn't bother me because I rearly use it but now the front end has started to droop so my question is can I jump the relay and pump all the suspension up even if it is at Max ?
Thanks in advance
Jon

Does the pump run? Does it self level at all?
A diag code read would help a lot!!
I don't advise running at max height, though i doubt it would let you

Just the air suspension inactive on the dash and every now and again I get self level inactive 35mph

I don't have a reader and don't know anyone with one just wanted to make it a bit more comfortable to drive till the mot runs out in December then it will probably go to car heaven anyway, but I love it so I'm Gona buy another so just Wana use up the mot

Firstly Welcome :)

Its difficult to say, because just jumping the pump to work is simple but what will control the solenoids to open the valve to get your corners up;).

So without more work to get the system working properly it wont be the easiest thing to do.
It could just be your compressor has had it, so first thing to do would be to check if it does run and if it actually produces air.

Diagnostics it really the starting place for these vehicles otherwise you will end up tearing your hair out or/and emptying your wallet.

Hi j thanks for the reply

⬆️⬆️⬆️ This is the sort of thing I was on about so if I jump the compressor (It works) will it not just fill all four corners till maxed then blow out the pressure relief valve?🤔

No.
the compressor fills the reservoir (think there's a valve that needs to open would need to check my files again), which in turn goes through valves/solenoids to fill each corner. It sort of all happens at the same time, but the reservoir holds more pressure than is used for the bags.
Thats if it is actually producing air ;) .

But of course the control part of the system needs to be working as well ;).

It looks in pretty good nick so why dump it, why not fix it. Is the MOT prospect that bad?

While there is a fault showing the suspension is locked out so nothing will work. Once you clear the fault with diagnostics it may be ok if you're very lucky. If the suspension is at off road height you will get a warning saying 30mph max as it will be unstable at higher speeds.
Roughly where abouts are you as there may be someone near you with diag's that is willing to read the codes for you?

ref The scanner something like this basic one will at least give u the codes and will also be very handy for other FFRR that u may buy at a later date , due to these vehicles being so complicated it will at least give u a direction of Where to look saving u a lot of time

Amazon product

also if u don’t mind me adding as ur using the landy for work I would double check to make sure ur insurance covers u seeing it’s not just for private and pleasure use

You only empty your wallet and tear your hair out without diagnostics? What am I doing wrong?
