OK be gentle with me I'm new here!

Just bought a V8 S2 ES with LPG. When the engine is stopped and then a door is opened the air suspension drops about 20mm. I can hear the valve in the control block releasing the air. I assume this is normal? No mention of this in the handbook - so the question is - is this drop normal?

Yea, my TD5 D2 ES does this as well.

From chatting to the service people at my local LR dealer, this is normal.

Thanks for that Holyman - makes me feel a little happier.
There is some mention of it in the Rave workshop manual - just seems strange that it is not mentioned in the handbook.

just cahnged my air suspension compreesor(for a different fault)so have learned a lot about this system-completeley normal-all SERIES 2's with this suspension do it
