hi there,i have a range rover p38 4.6 hse which i bought a month ago and every thing has been fine until a couple of days ago when my suspension started acting up.At first the drivers side wouldn't rise of the bumpstops and now neither side will rise. The compressor is running and i can't hear any air leaking, does any one have any ideas what the problem is or had the same thing happen to them, cheers cliff

hi cliff ... you can't hear any air leaking ... because the problem within the pump is its seals ...
there is another thing , check the timer under the driver seat ( left side ) it's somthing black like a relay , remove it ,then fit it again correctly ...
and the third cause may be the sensors ...

problem solved, turns out the air compressor failed, not a cheap fix.does anyone know if the compressor can be fixed as it would be handy to have a spare one just in case

There are compressor rebuild kits available on the web, its not too difficult although I would recommend going for a complete piston and sleeve rather than just doing the seal like I did.
