Hi all. You solved my last two issues with ease (ish) now another. LR 322 air suspension inactive, we are not talking the usual left lock right lock off you go sorted type of fault here. This is a no lights on the A/S selector and a fair bit of klonk and bang fom the nearside front area. Now, I take my TDV8 to RR in Ascot because its under warranty but my 322 V8 4.4 (54 plate) is not going there because I dont really want to sell my house to pay for them to try and fix it. Does anyone have a good independant in the surrey/berkshire area they can honestly reccomend me to? I am between J3 and J4 of the M3. This is urgent because the dogs need walking and they aint going in the newer RR. Thanks for any help guidance or just sympathy

Nick Kerner 4x4, in Fyfield (I think).

They used to be very good a few years ago, I used to go shooting with one of their mechanics.

(I'm not connected to them in any way!)

I have a little bit to add having grazed through a million threads. The front left airbag is deflated completely, the right front is inflated.

rip out the silly rubber bags and install a spring kit !! dead easy!!!
Best advice ever, same on trucks air suspension is a good idea, but in reality a bag o' sh*te. They rub through on the pedestals with normal operation and are susceptible to punctures.

The airbags are fine but they do have a shelf life of about 8 years. A RR on coils is no where near as nice to drive as a RR on bags. I've not priced up L322 bags but they are cheap enough, £250 gets me a set of 4 bags, which means for 8 more years no drama. Better than spending that much to have my fillings shaken loose.

Plus if/when the tougher EU MoT Test regulations kick in, all coiled RRs (excluding Classic) will no longer be road legal.
