Is there a way of fitting air suspension into the front of the Disco 3? Maybe using Range Rover or Disco 3 components? Has anyone else thought about this?

Do you mean your D2? Youd have to relocate the shocks. Have a look at the RRC factory vehicles that had air up front for an idea. Im sure this has been discussed before. It seems pretty pointless to bother but it’s certainly feasible.

so pointless that LR decided to do all round air in the RRC and D3 onwards. The entire point of car modification is that nothing is pointless.

D3 air bags and shocks are one unit, pretty much the same as a std steel coil sprung macpherson strutt.

I would say fitting the mech bits is the easyish bit, controlling them is where the fun would start!

There is no doubt air susp is great, there is also no doubt it is a pita when it goes wrong, not if but when.

All makes of cars with air susp have issues at one time or another.
