We have a 1993 3.9 litre petrol/LPG Vogue SE.

Over the last few days the air suspension has been very slow to rise and on occasions it has dropped while the car was moving .Now the rev counter from time to time drops to zero (while the engine continues to run normally) and all the lights on the air suspension control buttons come on. Any suggestions to the cause or what we should check first please?

Best place to check is:

b. www.motorcarsltd.com

Suspect worn out compressor and a bad earth somewhere. The first is the cause of slow pumping and the second of the electric problem. Have you changed anything recently?
I hope this helps

Panos.

Thanks for the reply Panos.

No we haven't changed anyything recently. And the problem's just got more acute. Driving along the motorway the speedo and radio were repeatedly coming on and off and now she won't start at all (but get a kind of fluttering noise as I try). I agree it does sound like an earth problem. Anybody have any ideas where I should try?

Update - we've found a loose connection on the alternator and the battery had gone flat. The battery's on charge so we'll see tomorrow if all is well.
