So I guess that the left sensor is knackered, is that correct, also when using the landrover plip, how does the air escape to let the rear end down

Cheers

Forget that ideea with the plip, ... replace the sensor and recalibrate the system, untill then inflate the bags and disable the SLS and it will stay on that level for weeks if no leak is present

But I cant inflate the bags, this has happened twice now, both times when unlocking the car, the tow bar is about an 1" off the floor, so I can' eeven get under it

When you unlock with the fob the SLABS and BCU are getting out of sleep mode ... dont yiou hear the compressor running when you triy to raise it with nanocom in the calibration menu? it gives short burts and many are needed to lift the back, if the compressor doesnt kick in and FL9 + R5 are good, remove relay R5 and bridge the perpendicular cavities with a paperclip to see if you hear the compressor then or not to test the circuit.... also when you want to raise it with nanocom all the doors must be closed and engine running

If it doest lift the back on either side then the compressor is gone or the intake behind LH tail lamp is clogged

Ok will check behind the light in a min, I guess its easy to find
Please just bear with me, but when you would lower the suspension with the plip what opens to expel the air, thus lowring the rear

The two air supply valves and the exhaust valve are opening to release the air, the exhaust valve is part of the compressor so if this is leaking the compressor can pump the air out through it so the air doesnt reach the bags, if you improvise a wiring as in the scheme and give feed the bags must inflate if the compressor is good

Ok thanks for the diagram,
so when the suspension is lowered the air from the bags travel back along pipes 12 & 14 back to the valve block and get expelled through pioe 13???

also thanks so much for your help and patients, its really appreciated:)

Yes that's the setup, normally there is a mechanical non return valve too at the end of 13 but that one used to wear out and if the exhaust valve doesnt close well when the system gives the command to the compressor and the air supply valves to inflate the air leaves the system at the exhaust...here's the operational scheme too, it's not a very complicated system and once you understand how it works it's easy to troubleshoot, eventually read the whole story in RAVE

right ok, i found the air filter, took the top off, the dark grey filter just fell apart, seemed really gooey. The lighter coloured filter seemed ok. i took the filters out and somthing was happening, looked like it was sucking air, but since i have given up smoking i have no way of knowing for sure

so giving that i cant inflate it, whats you gut feeling

If you can infllate it disable the SLS to be driveable, replace that sensor which doesnt read well and recalibrate

Yeah, there's a setting on the nanocom "compressor on" just cycles away and nothing happens
Or the sls calibration, where you press it and it cycles once on the side pressed, nothing again

That "compressor on" will not open the valves so no inflation is just circuit test, i said you twice that in "utility - sls calibration- raise..." you have to do it many times consecutively to build up pressure cos on first attempts i might no move cos it just fills the empty bag, from the bump stops it can take up to 10 - 15 cycles on each side
