Hi guys was driving earlier and chime went on dash and it said air Susp inactive,
I looked down at the air suspension dials and nothing was lit up, kept driving as suspension was all up at normal ride height and after about 2 miles the dials lit back up and the message in the display went off.
Any ideas please

Your compressor is on the way out possibly, just keep an eye on it if it starts to happen more often and staying off longer just disconnect the pipe that comes out of it in the boot well and attach a pressure gauge if you can anything below 8.5 bar and it's getting weak, the running pressure should be between 8.5 and 11 bar..I persevered with mine in the end I bit the bullet and replaced the compressor at a cost of £285 brand new but it could be several other things also such as ride height sensor etc ..there's plenty on here to check out ..good luck

Why would it cost £285 for a compressor I can get the piston and ring for like £30 new that's about the main components in the compressor,
I've read could possibly be steering angle sensor?

There is a lot of other parts within the compressor unit that eventually "give up" it's not just the piston & ring.

If no EAS lights are eliminated it's a "hard fault" stored not a "soft one" so it won't do anything until it's been "diagnosed and faults are cleared" not heard of loosing lights then magically RE-appearing.

Before you fork out on any parts plug it into diagnostics that way it will give you a good indication where to start too ....

Diagnostics is first call.

Steering sensor will result in a soft fault (still have lights and on the hold switch)
