my swb 200tdi is drawing air from some where between the tank and the filter, i have changed fuel pipes and filter, and the pump is fairly new, yet still have the problem. iv also had the tank off and evrithing looks fine. im running out of ideas so could any1 help?

no iv not changed the cap and breather is fine. iv been runnin it and loosening the injectors to try and get the air out but it jus keeps on comin.

i also tried openin the bleed screw on the filter and pumping it manually but nothin but air comes out no matter how long i pump it for

Copper washers?
Like the one on the bleed screw or on the side of the filter housing if the feed pipe has bin removed.

Try the cheapest fix furst;):D

no cross thread n copper washers all round. iv tried everythin i can think of but i kno its gonna be summat really simple

i took the tank off n drained it to see if ther was any crap in the bottom but its bak on no n half full

Yeah, but does it still do it if the tank is completely full? If not, it might be the pick up, which is notorious for getting little splits in the rubber along the seam, which, if it's below the diesel level, doesn't matter.

If it turns out not tae be what Oddie says, then it might be summit to do wi' the fuel line ye've just stuck on if everything has checked out like ye say.
Did ye make certain that the pipe was sitting straight before tightenin' the nuts up at the tank end and pump end? Maybe they're not tight enough.... OR... maybe ye've tried doin' the tank end up too tight and maybe kinked the metal pipe that comes from the tank or cross threaded the connections somehow. Just a suggestion;)

sorted the problem, pump was shagd n return pipe from injectors was blocked. thanks for the help. hope evri1 is avin fun in the white stuff
