After a silencer for a slightly noisy co2 pistol, anyone selling?. Ideally with adaptor.

Do J ramsbottoms not do them?
What model is it?
When I was in my teens I made a silencer from a screwdriver handle on the barrel end another in front with holes in and a bigger one that held them both in-line. It worked to a fashion... Wasn't bad for a kid with next bugger all to his name.
It was a Gamo rifle irc?

I am not sure whether air rifles are different but proper moderators are controlled devices and you need a FAC to obtain one.

The rules have changed a lot since I was in England, the last one I bought new was in 2002 complete with a silencer from York guns. Not an fac rated gun but sub 12flbs.

Yes, seems they are. Pellpax sell them but want £15 delivery for that reason. Will wait till my local shop opens.

A moderator for an air rifle is ok but as soon as you fit it to a section 1 firearm it also becomes section 1! You can't swap and change. Do not use a moderator on a S1 firearm unless you have it on your license.

If it's an air rifle moderator fitted to a powder burner you are also likely to blow the guts of the mod out and destroy it.

Try Preppers.com

It's a while since I've been In the know with the rifles stuff. I got my webley raider 2 in 2005 and that was the last time I was wrapped up in the hobby.
It spends most of its time in its lovely bag in a dry wardrobe :(
Hah same as me Mate with my air rifle. I killed everything here abouts! A few more kids have turned up in the village though so I might get it out again!

I have two moderators but they are on my FAC, I really don't know too much about air rifles and the law because as soon as the SG started talking about licencing for them I sold the couple I had quick.
The preppers stuff is hilarious, there was a TV show featuring some of them a few years ago and I was rolling about laughing at how serious some pf them were taking it, don't get me wrong I understand being prepared but these guys were preparing for the zombie invasion with sharp sticks, air pistols and some MRE's:D

Yes you must have it on your licence for a firearm, but I dont think air rifles (sub 12 ft lbs) are covered by the same regulations

Only the simple rules of surroundings, vehicles and people but certainly not the same regs as the fac gear. Oh, and plenty of common sense which is exactly what the lack of sometimes has everyone under scrutiny..

I had a look at the rules and it seems it would only cost me £5 to have an AWC, nothing there about moderators though so still not sure. Thinking about it one of my AA rifles had a built in moderator so not sure just how this would work if you can't remove it?
