Does anyone else suffer from repeated failure of these rubber mounts? Or know the reason why? Thanks

They can perish with age / heat and also the air filter housing can vibrate a fair bit. Make sure you buy good quality replacements, cheap stuff just wont last as long.

Also, how much does your engine move? Are your engine and gearbox mounts ok? By the time a little movement works it's way out to the airbox it'll be a big shake.

You're not the only one. Keep a steady supply in a drawer in your garage and replace as necessary.
