Hi,

I have just had the clutch replaced on my discovery 1 by a local garage which involved them removing the engine, when I got the disco back I noticed the air condition unit was not working. I have since had the system tested by Kwkfit and there were no leaks, they also re gassed it as the system was empty.

Anyone got any ideas, the light comes on when I press the air con button and there is juice at the compressor but nothing happens, really annoyed about this as it was fully working befoe the clutch job

Thanks in advance

does the compressor spin when the air con is on? if not try hot wiring the electric clutch to see if the aircon works when the compressor spins and the problem is electrical......

on mine the aircon did not work because the switch in the thermostat housing that turns the aircon off when the engine gets too hot had failed i just bridged it for now but must get a new one .......when i get around to it

OMG!!! Avoid krap-fit, go back to the clutchfitting garage and either yell or cry as appropriate or use a specialist who knows what they are doing. Sounds to me like the system still has not got enough refrigerant in it. If you short out the compressor to activate the clutch can you see fluid passing the sight glass? The bit that controlls the evaproator broke on mine, I now have the only landy with infinately variable cold.
