interesting thats saying to me then i have or could have moisture in the system,as my system was showing i had gas in it but not anuth to engage the pump ,so i filled it with the halfords £40 kit to the recommended pressure on the gauge and it worked very well all summer but now the air temp is no where near that of summer . i have checked the pressure and that is fine ,is there a way you can dry the system out or where do i go from hear ? tayou only get problems wiff the kits if you either let the system empty completely, you have a major leak or you have moisture in there.
if the system is completly empty ,or nearly, then the pump can't kick in to help suck the gas in.
a small leak then the leak stopper in the kit will plug in
and as fer moisture that just causes all sorts of problems
so as long as yer system is working and just needs a top up the kits are ok if it dint work at all then seek professional help.
but if you can get a full recharge fer £42 quid then go fer it, just be wary that its not a ploy to get you in then they hit you wiff major work required
smirk. . .them tractors jist keep goin eh trew. . .My aircon wurks perfick - jist open or close windows and / or front vents as required - nuffink to go wrong!

as far as i know the only way to dry them out completely is to change yer dryer and have the system under vacuum fer abart 30mins or so.
can you hear the pump clicking when you turn on yer A/C or can you see the center of the pulley turning when the A/C turned on. if the center of the pulley int turning then yer pump int working..
either low pressure or faulty switch/clutch
its the dryer then. . . .i its all running fine ac kicks in ok its just no where near as affective as it was in the summer when i filled it up , are well i can live with it
its the dryer then. . . .
