Hi just brought a second hand aircon pump as the bearings on the pully are making hell off a noise ,i was just going to remove the pulley off the end a replace with this one to save touching the aircon gas side off it ,
i have undone the 10mm bolt in the middle but nothing seems to give ?
with this bolt undone should it pull off??
dont want to hit it with anything as might damage it ,i have a td5 discovery on a 52 plate
cheers ali

They designed it to replace the whole assy....though u may try with some kind of extractor tool(i.e 3 arm bearing puller like this)

Hi, The 10mm bolt in the centre, is only for the magnetic clutch which thorws in and out when you switch the air con on and off, I believe the main pulley is not serviceable. Beware you don't lose the shim or the air con will run all the time.
hope this helps.

ive tried that on my astra and ended up changing the whole compressor . you should do the same its much easier and you wont risk breaking something on the good compressor as i did
