Any ideas people?

Air con was working fine, then sometimes it thinks the outside temperature is 0 degrees, meaning it blows warmish air, but after 10 mins the outside temperature reading slowly counts up to actual outdoor temp.
However recently been getting the book & "!" symbol displayed at times, which according to the manual means aircon fault - see dealer.

Now all the time the passenger side vents blow v hot air no matter what the setting - the drivers side blows whatever u set it to ie cold right through to hot.

Any ideas how to cure this without going to expensive air con tech???

thanks

The difference in hot & cold on both sides is almost definitely a blend motor fault or jammmed flap. The zero display on the air con HEVAC unit is a software bug (Land Rover Technical Notice) that can only be sorted by fitting an upgraded HEVAC unit, ehich will undoubtedly be expensive - as you say, when you drive for a few miles the display slowly counts up from zero externbal temp to the right level and things then start to work normally. I wonder if Land Rover will ever develop any morals and replace units with software bugs free of charge?

I am a newby to P38 but aren't they fun? At least they don't rot as fast as the classics.
