Purchased my first td5 disco saturday after owning 4 300tdi discos and all i can say is WOW! I love it. Anyway to my question. Used it for the first time in the dark last night and noticed that all the buttons on the digital air con panel are not illuminated. The 2 temperature up and down buttons and the digital diplay light up but nothing else!
I assume all the buttons should illuminate, if so how do you get it apart to replace the bulbs????

Its easy once the panel is out, just 1 bulb. Mine did the same.

All fixed. Easy job. Although i did find that with the hvac unit removed the engine would not turn over?!?!?!

Doh. That turned out to be worn contacts on the starter solenoid. Fixed with a 10 quid kit off ebay😃

Thats a fun job getting the started motor out!!!

Took me 5 mins to replace the contacts, and 2 bloody hours to get the starter motor off to do it😡
