i used 1 for years compressor outlet hose to a y piece on the bottle then long hose to work
like that but with a male for hose from compressor and female for hose to work and the other to the bottle that way you have no special hoses or fittings and its just plug in or not
the other advantage is you can use the bottle once full away from the compressor for blowing tyre up or cracking a few nuts where there is no electricity for the compressor

seems ok to me large compressor smallish tank which is ideal for home use,is portable ie can be moved near to a job rather than very long air hose and takes up less garage or shed space
cheers therea one local to me n all! Im only looking for a basic one to spray up a few bits as the quoted cage to spray a cage with a raptor alternative was £700
Hence why its overall cheaper to buy me own kit!

Go for the 3 hp with 14 cfm, that way you won't be so disappointed
The one I linked to on Amazon was a similar price but was 14cfm compared to 9.6 on the machine mart. So would recommend that one.
Not sure of any difference in quality though

I have this one for light workshop use, continuous inflation of large tractor tyres, paint spraying , blowing out radiators and filters etc
But it still runs out of air when using 3/4 air gun continuously ( more than five bolts)
I suggest you keep an eye out for special offers through the year
that looks a serious bit of kit , but way to big for what i need
the 50 litre one with the 14.5 cfm i think will be ok
wish to get one that will be good enough to
spray my chassis , use to inflate tyres, take the wheels off ,
also have to consider the weight of the unit , in being able to get it in and out of my shed and round to the front of the house ,
unless i got a long air hose , to minimise me having to move it too much
would something like 50 foot be too much, would i loose a lot of capacity the longer the hose , seeing the compressor would also have to fill the hose up , if that makes sense

as if i could put a long hose on this, maybe 40 feet , could then have it at the back of the house and just run the hose to the front where the landy is
looking at hoses , ref. 10 mm, am i right in saying i need bigger hoses the longer i go , so i maintain the volume of air in order to keep up the pressure at the air tool
been looking for a hose calculation tool ,
just thinking when i installed gas pipe work , further u went the greater the pressure drop

is that if u fit a too longer hose then , better then if i fit an electrical socket by the front door
as the landy will be on the drive the length of hose would only be around 10 x foot , can get round the landy
read that an extension lead mustn't be used

What are you going to use the compressor for? Apart from a driver to loosen the odd wheel nut, I would not have thought you had much need on the new motor.

would like it for
spraying the chassis , undoing bottom wishbone bits, wheel nuts , having a recip saw to cut through bolts , i.e. on the wishbone bolts
shot blasting, did see a unit that used fine silicone bead, think it was in restore magazine , where a canister was hooked up to a compressor , then used it to clean loose paint and rust off a chassis, but maybe that was a specialised unit

if i'm honest if my back was up to scratch i wouldnt bother
as the D3 has considerably bigger parts i wouldn't stand a chance getting bolts undone
saw a u tube video when replacing lower wishbone bushes, they replace the whole wishbone complete , to get the old bolt out they cut the bolt , then have to use an air chisel to push the bolt out
just to make my life easier
