I have the usual sinking of the rear driver side suspension & have boned up on swapping for new ones but saw someone had had success with using "green slime" to repair the bags.
I could see where the problem was, usual place where the bag rolls over the pedestal. It was weeping air rather then a split, the area was probably the size of my thumb nail.
I took the bag off & put one bottle in & also had the ride height sensor plug off to clean it make sure of a good clean connection.
This was because it didn't always drop which didn't sit quite right with me if you excuse the pun.

Took it out for a quick run to settle everything down & its bright green where the leak is.

Now its a waiting game to see what the outcome is :scratching_chin:

I thought it worth a punt for £8, I also know how to take the bags off now.
Getting the air supply pipe in nice square is somewhat tricky though

I firmly intend to keep it upright & therefore cant see it sucking it from the bottom of the bag :)
Should it go non-upright leaking airbags would be of little consequence

Going to stick my neck out & say this has been a success.:clap2:
The first morning when I popped the garage door I expected to see it down on its arse again but it wasn't:)

The truck has also always sat with the driver side lower than the passenger side after its sat on the drive for a while but now its level & the pump doesn't come in anywhere near as often.

Probably goosed it by posting this :(

Where did you get this "green slime" and is it still working??

I've already orderd a new air spring for mine but would be nice to know if this works. I could keep it in the boot as an emergency repair kit.

I am also interested in how this worked, to keep a bottle (or 2) in the toolkit incase of emergancys would be a great idea, I wouldnt use it as a long term fix, but as a get you home (/place where you can work on it) bodge, could be a good idea, especially on overland trips.

hi, you can get it from motor factors/ car accessory shops. maybe even motorbike shops. i got mine from a motor factors and i think its primary use is for tubed tyres. i put it in the tyres on my xt 500 when i went touring as a fail safe. i did`nt actually get a puncture, but my mate on his norton did and his tyre stayed up. so it does work.
