Hay folks, Im an engineer who had a call from a guy with a defender wanting some custom made parts for his pride and joy. theres a few things he wanted but i started by making the 2 pieces either side of the window screen (sorry i dont know the name of them :), and this is how they came out. Im going to do a few different designs and can also anodise in any colour. Would love to know what you lot think of them even if you think there crap ha. im gunna stick an add in the sales section. I dont have a landrover but your feed back on these parts would be great, I will post more pics of the other work we are going to do regarding land rovers.

How much are you looking at selling them for?
 
Dam. ok i promise i wont post 2000 emails about this, just after feedback from the people who know about these things would be great, In fact this could be the start of me getting one myself :) making these worth while would cost them a £60 per pair. But im obviously not advertising them here FEEDBACKS the key here peeps! If its good feed back i will make a load of different designs and sell them els where, Unless of course this thread takes me over 50 posts :)
 
I don't think your introductory post has made the best first impression to be honest. Spam posts are not usually considered good form here on the Landy Zone. Be prepared for some serious abuse later when the alcohol kicks in.
 
So you've written a simple CNC milling program and made a fake hinge to make someones motor look blingier ?

And its going to be £60 for a non functioning part which just makes your landrover shinier ?
 
wow. seemed to stir up an hornets nest here so i will happley withdraw from it. Yeah its from a simple cnc milling program like lots of things, I thought this would be a good place to ask what people thought of them and spam didnt even enter my head but fair enough.

If you wanna test the water with em why not just make a set, stick em on ebay at 99p start and see what people are willing to pay for em?

Well given that the billets will probably be about a tenner each then the running costs of a big 415v 3 phase milling machine I reckon it will be a slight loss ;)
