Hi there, im new on here and to the landrover thing,i recently bought a Discovery with the Nissan 3.5 (fd35) engine conversion. im after a headgasket for it and am not having any luck has anyone got any ideas? :doh:

If I were you mate I wouldn't have bought a Disco with a Nnnnnnnnniiisss, bloody hell! I can't even say the word:D:D
Dump the lump and get a 200/300 TDi
 
Soloboy rob im begining to think your right there mate. have tried Nissan no joy will carry on looking............
 
We had a 90 with a Nissan FD35 engine, excellent engine. Nissan called it an industrial engine and never intended it for use in vehicles but it was a great unit in the land rover. The cam shaft is even driven by gears so there's no nasty cam belt to worry about.

We never had to buy any parts for it as it never went wrong in 15 years! Stanley Tooth over near Reading might be able to help as he did a number of land rover conversions using the FD35. Can't find a number at the moment though.
 
it's like a 1/2 landy, 1/2 slitty thing...

if I were you i'd just keep very very very very quiet about it...
 
i have a 100inch defender with one of these engines mate and they are puccer not to sporty but do they pull YES SIR you bet they do
