Hi My freelander has the built in GPS what I wont to know could I use a standard antenna on the base screw in as long as the radio works I am not bothered about the GPS not working. I have posted before thinking I needed the base but its just the antenna.regards Martin

Use the correct base as the cost between the two is negligible. I suspect that the down lead is different between the two types of base.

Does anyone know if a Freelander 2 aerial base (for GPS) will work on a Freelander 1 (for GPS)?
