Hi everone
Has anyone experience of there EAS going into Wading mode for no apparent reason?
My 2001 4.6 P38 keeps going into high mode, when i push the down switch it returns to normal
I have a kicker and have used it.
Any ideas? you advise will be greatly apreciated thankyou.

Mine does when parking, lots of direction changes I think sets it off but I think it's ment to do that then it returns to normal once you move off.
Does the light on the dash change?

It should not do that, it's most likely a height sensor giving a dodgy reading so it is going into a soft fault mode. You need to read the fault codes, download the free EAS software from www.rswsolutions.com, buy a cable from the mad hat man and if needed a USB to serial adaptor and read the fault code yourself, assuming you have a laptop. If no laptop, worth buying a cheapie on Ebay, could save you a fortune, that is unless your kicker gives you a fault code reading.

Who's shouldn't mine or Mark's? ;-)

Mine does both of these from time to time. Rave states that if the EAS is between two settings when the engine is started one will be illuminated and the selected height will flash until the selected height is achieved, then one will go out and the selected height be illuminated. So that is normal. However mine also goes to high whilst driving now and again for no particular reason. This may well be a height sensor giving a duff reading. But i have noticed that the self level when you get out of the car does not work every time. So it maybe that both problems are down to the EAS delay relay having a fault. As far as i am away there is no fault code for this unit on EAS software.

But in the handbook it's says that when parking the EAS rises for a better view!
Not in mine it doesn't and it has never risen whilst manouvering, indeed it would be downright dangerous if it did so in my local multi story car park as the clearance to the roof is about an inch:eek:

Mine rose momentarily when at traffic lights today then settled back to normal. I assumed it was because I had stopped on a steep hill.

It's funny you should say that because there's a car park I use now and then and even though the sign says there's room I always end up crawling in with her on her belly...
I've found that if I press the EAS hold button on the way in it stays at normal height.

Could be dodgy sensor, worth checking all the plugs on sensors for corrosion. (green on terminals) also worth popping sensor arms off at rad arms and making sure they are not stiff to move. Could also be a drive pack problem often no faults stored if drive pack faulty.

had trouble with my EAS(hard fault)!!.after putting mi problem out on the forum,a member from this forum(DUGGY,AKA=DOGS BODY),took time out to come round and plugged her up on the EASunlock program.she went up and stayed.since then i've got mi own leads an disc, pluged her up,she dropped and I'm now back where i started!!!!!...all i seem to be getting is PARAMETER IS INCORRECT!!!!!IS IT AS SIMPLE AS PLUG UP PRESS A BUTTON,AND ITS ALL GOOD??????...................HELP!!!!!!!!!

If it's the EAS suite, first you need to see a green box with the message "Good idle" then read the faults and note them down, then click on the unlock button.
