Hi all,

I'm in the market for a 94/95 Soft Dash Classic.

The 'basic' Vogue seems well equipped already, but could someone with in depth knowledge of these cars list the differences between the various models for this year? (Was there a Basic?), Vogue and Vogue SE please?

I'd like as many toys as possible so the Vogue SE would seem the obvious choice, but i have seen a few really nice condition Vogues and wondered if I could do DIY upgrades for things like the heated front screen etc?

Thanks!

just make sure you get underneath it at the back, you can usually get your head through the floor:D

I've either owned or driven just about every version of the Classic, and I have to say the soft dash ones have always disappointed. The best one I owned, and was my all time favourite was a 1993 3.9 Vogue SE with all the extras.Dark green with chocolate leather seats.Like driving the drawing room of Blenheim palace, plenty of power, ice cold AC,excellent sound system, excellent air suspension and reliable - all of it.
Nothing since has been quite as good. There was something about it that the soft dash never had,nor all the P38's and L322's had either.
I remember driving back down the m4 with a dead P38 on a trailer behind early one sunday morning.Just enjoying the ride with a bit of Clapton on and a big shock when I looked at the speedo and saw I was doing 85mph,perfect stability and comfort.Thought I ought to slow down to the legal limit, but it was a good example of its capabilities.Another time we had it at some stupid angles of lean on muddy rocks down on green lanes on Exmoor,no problem, low range and the traction control sorted it all.
Biggest problem is finding one that isn't rusted out...

+1 I could never take to them either the driving poss is not nice it all seems to far forward & tacky compared to a hard dash, you feel like your in a disco tbh, the leather & trim are far superior quality in a h/d compared to a s/d. I agree a late se is best but my fav was prob my lse on air so roomy & finished to perfection imo
