So here is the background.... Im new to Land Rovers and to the forum so apologies in advance for any stupid questions!

I've been in many defenders but never owned one. Hoping to get on the Land Rover 110 ladder ASAP. Ive had a look on all the usual buying and selling sites and came across this 110 very close to my house.

Im viewing it tomorrow and apart from the description and photos given in the advert the guy told me that there was some rust on the bulkhead that could be "taken off and painted over" (Don't know the location/extent of it yet). There was an oil leak in the pipe from/to the oil cooler ("Cheap replacement of pipe") but the main issue is an oil leak that started a few weeks ago in the head gasket (Don't know how serious).

My question for you is... is this a good Land Rover for the price? I realise rust is unfortunately a common theme in Defenders but what about the under the bonnet stuff? Should I buy... try and get the price down or walk away?

Struck me as a little over priced, but if the chassis is galvanised as described and bulkhead really solid and runs well could be worth £7k ish
